Berry Citrus !

If you’re not a huge water drinker this one is for you. Infuse your water with a few strawberries + orange slices and this will have you refilling your glass all day. Its refreshing and it beats just drinking plan water while hydrating you, and giving you a few extra nutrients from the fruit.

The oranges are full of antioxidants, vitamin C, and it gives the water a sweetness without the added sugar. Oranges are also packed with a ton of other vitamins that are great for supporting a healthy immune system. Oranges help keep your skin vibrant, fight cancer cells, promote a healthy heart, alleviate allergies and improve digestion. And this will ultimately help boost your bodies defense.

Adding strawberries to your water will help you naturally cleanse. Strawberries are also rich in antioxidants and have many vitamins like  A, C, E, K, the list goes on and on. But they’re good for your heart, have anti-inflammatory properties, and have soluble fiber which is good for digestion.

Nevertheless, it taste good and it’s healthy so drink up!

Cucumber Classic !

Everyone knows cucumber water is usually in your favorite spa. But in addition to it keeping you hydrated, it’s great for your skin and it soothes it from the inside out. Its one of the most refreshing infused waters and it’s also packed with nutrients like vitamin B-5 & pantothenic acid, both used for helping acne. And cucumbers are filled with potassium which helps blood pressure and the vitamin K can boost your bone health.

Overall this one is another win, so don’t just leave it for spa days.

Mojito Madness !

Yes, I know it looks like a cocktail. But this drink will actually help nurture you without the added calories.

So inside it’s mint and limes which are both full of healthy goodness. Mint leaves have digestive benefits, relieves the stomach from nausea, treats headaches, helps with memory loss, skin problems. And thats only a portion of the benefits it adds to the body.

Limes on the other hand are acidic and good for digestion because the acid helps the saliva break down food. Also enriched with vitamin C, fiber and minerals — the best thing about this fruit is that it has zero fats and very little calories. It promotes weight loss, relieves constipation and helps with many health conditions. Plus it rejuvenates the skin so adding it to your bath water now and then might be a great idea.

Brown Goddess Bodied Exfoliant

Hello Kings and Queens,

Don’t you sometimes want to scrub away the frustration from a long week and have an at home spa day ?

Me too ! In fact, I make it my business to reserve time for self wellness and down time at least once a week. Unplugging is essential to a balanced life and it can really help recharge you mentally.

At home spa days are an awesome way to recharge especially when you don’t have time or funds to visit the spa of your choice. Because let’s face it, going to the spa once a week disrupts the coins… So lets try and make that habit once a month.

But in between time below is a recipe for a body scrub that will leave your skin looking and feeling refreshed while GLOWING !!!

I swear by this. It’s natural, organic and made with ingredients most likely in your kitchen !!!

Enjoy!

Ingredients :

  • 2 cups of brown sugar
  • 1/2 of grounded coffee beans
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 1/4 of olive oil
  • 1/4 coconut oil

Mix dry ingredients first, then add wet ingredients stirring until it’s a consistent mixture.

The dry ingredients will make it a very rough consistency which is responsible for exfoliating the skin. This will help remove the outer layer of dead skin cells that our bodies naturally shed leaving it silky smooth. The lemon will help skin absorb vitamin C and serve as an acidic natural skin brighter, for those hyper-pigmented areas. Plus lemons are antibacterial and they can help treat acne. The coconut oil and olive oil will restore the moisture that’s being stripped from the exfoliation, and this is what helps add that healthy glow.

If you have leftovers put a top on it and leave it in your shower. It should last at least one week. Or sit it by the sink and use on hands daily after washing.

I hope y’all enjoy. Please leave questions or comments  below and tell me how you like it or what you would’ve done differently.
